Tyler had such a great experience with us and we are so happy to have her as our patient. She got scaling done for the first time by our hygienist, Lisa, and is feeling so much better about her teeth. What is scaling? Scaling is a procedure we do to clean the bacteria and tartar off the deeper surfaces of the tooth.  It’s how we treat gum infection. The benefits of scaling are that we eliminate the bacteria that’s underneath the gum line and we, therefore, arrest the bone loss that the patient has encountered. So, a patient doesn’t have any tooth mobility or future bone loss!

Our patient originally came to us because she was unhappy with the unevenness of her teeth and she wanted veneers. However, she already had such a good foundation, so our doctors explained an alternative. We ended up treating our patient with some bonding, shaving, and contouring to achieve the even look our patient desired.
