What to Expect?
When you first come to our office you will be given a free iTero Invisalign scan. This scan shows us what your smile will look like after a completed Invisalign treatment plan. Once you decide that Invisalign is right for you is when we will start your treatment plan.
How fast is fast?
The entire length of the treatment is a case by case basis. It all depends on the severity of the case and how consistent you are with wearing the aligners. Invisalign patients must wear the aligners for at least 22 hours per day. This means you can take the aligners off when you are eating, drinking, and brushing your teeth. After that, snap them back on! With that in mind, on average, a common patient can expect their treatment plan to last about a year.
The aftermath?
When you are finished with your Invisalign treatment and your teeth look perfect, it will be time to celebrate! Your doctor will meet with you to complete another scan (similar to your first visit.) Once the scan is completed, your doctor will make a clear, removable retainer for you to wear at nighttime only. This nighttime retainer will ensure that your teeth stay perfect.
